A personal branding session - who is it for and why?
Although my work is associated first and foremost with the idea of women’s photography (which really does make up about 90% of what I do), for those of you who have only recently joined the po nitce corner of the internet, let me hurry to explain that sensual sessions aren’t the only ones I do… And that’s exactly what today’s post is about.
For years now, what matters most to me in my work is responding in the moment to the needs and vision of the person I’m photographing. And those needs are very individual and can change at different stages of life… including working life. And that’s just it - in the professional sphere, do image photos really matter? Can they make it easier to land a satisfying job or attract the client you’re after?
Images, not words
To answer the question above… well, from my experience the visual side of how we present ourselves online can have a big impact on the effect we want to achieve. Given the enormous scale on which social media has taken over our everyday lives, I don’t think that’s anything surprising.
On top of that, most of us are visual people - we react faster to graphic content than to written messages. Every day we’re flooded with a torrent of information - our tired minds take in images more readily than words…
That’s exactly why building your image with the support of photos that capture your personality and authenticity can help you reach the effect you’re after with more ease and enjoyment. Good personal branding photos can turn out to be your ace up the sleeve when building a LinkedIn or Instagram profile, designing an online shop, or applying for a much-sought-after position.

What matters to me as a photographer when taking personal branding photos is that I want your photos to be truly YOURS. They’re not about meeting some set standards and expectations - they’re about being the essence of you and of your own creation in business and professional life.
Before the session we always have the chance to talk about how you picture these photos and how to arrange the space where the session is to take place. You can bring a few outfits or accessories to our meeting. For my part, I always try to create a relaxed and safe atmosphere - I’m aware that for many people standing in front of the camera is quite an experience.
